    Mindy Thanks

Mindy is perpetually upbeat. That's just a thing about her we all had to get used to when she started. It's rare that something annoys her, but one of the few things that does is people not accepting freely given compliments. Unfortunately, this is something the Worldbuilders team has a problem with.

    Mouthwash

This happened. Brett snuck a bottle of mouthwash into the bathroom with a note on it, and touched off a flurry of blame and suspicion that took over the office for a good five minutes before we had to get back to work.

    Close Enough for Jazz

Chris not only installs A/V systems, he's a bit of a renaissance man. So he's actually taught us a bit about the finer things in life (like the difference between whiskey and whisky). Jenny plays saxophone in a local jazz band and tends to listen to it quite a bit, so of course the two of them will compare notes.

    Live Document

This happens a lot around here. We kind of exist on live documents for everything from product ideas to meeting notes to all the nuts-and-bolts information on our website here. The Worldbuilders hive mind works pretty well when we can all edit and comment on the same documents at the same time.

    Mike's Hat

Mike always wears a hat around the office. In the summer, it's usually a baseball cap, and in the winter, it's a stocking cap. But always a hat of some kind. Jenny is inquisitive, but polite, so she would rather theorize than actually ask Mike why he always wears a hat.

    Trivia People

Stevens Point hosts the world's largest trivia contest, and things get a little out of hand. The contest is 54 non-stop hours of questions about obscure stuff normal people just shouldn't know. There's a parade. A few hundred teams of anywhere from one to 50+ people register to play from around the globe, and spend all weekend calling the radio station's temporary call center to give 8 answers per hour. This contest is responsible for crashing more than one website.

    Video Skillz

Whenever we need video work done, Brett's our go-to guy. Most of the time, he's working on product development, advertising, and...well, this comic. If it's not a Worldbuilders project, it has to wait. But when his work is done, Pat and Amanda hire him away from Worldbuilders to work on some of Pat's videos.

    Pedants

If you'll forgive us, we're gonna go a little Wisconsin this week. The love of the Green Bay Packers is strong here, though most Packers fans will admit the team isn't perfect. However, we tend to love them for all their merits and flaws, and there are certain flavors, like the Lambeau Leap, that unite us and delight us, pretty much across the board.

    Transporter Test

Last week we got to see what Chris was up to. This week we'll catch up with Lisa to see how far along she is on programming a transporter system. Apparently, she can code an actual, physical transporter pad into existence. She's good! It's not public knowledge...well, now it is...but we pretty much just hired Brett to experiment on. He's designed to take quite a bit of abuse, and we like to believe it makes him sad when we don't abuse him. We won't ask him directly, but we like to believe that.

    Rivalry

Remember Chris? This isn't the Chris who brought us doughnuts, but the Chris who agreed to join us to help install an AV system in our conference room! Looks like the cables are run, the network is ready, and the head-to-head between Chris and Rachel has begun! We're not sure why he needs so many CAT-6 cables for one conference room (or why he's capping them with RCA tips), but he's the professional. We just work here.

    Hole Punch

Okay, we work in an office. Office environments tend to have office supplies. But Mindy had zero luck last week finding a hole punch. She needed to punch three holes. Just three. And everyone was pretty sure we had a single-hole punch lying around somewhere, but nobody could agree on exactly where it was. Eventually, Mindy just went out and bought one (which she has secreted away in her desk somewhere), but not before Brett decided to not be helpful at all.

    Watching Weight

We're claiming accurate artistic liberty on this. The doughnuts were actually brought in by Chris, who volunteered for us a couple times earlier in the 2016 fundraiser. He showed up with two boxes of beautiful doughnuts made of and decorated with all sorts of delightful things. Unfortunately, half the office had just started Weight Watchers to keep themselves in check through the holiday season. This did not stop anybody from eating the doughnuts, they just disappeared in smaller increments.

    Artistic License

There's a lot to do around here with the fundraiser in full swing, so Brett couldn't spend as much time on the comic as usual. When Amanda called him on cutting some obvious corners, he got unapologetically artistic at her. She called him on that, too.

Happy Dances 3: Thanks a Million!

We don't have anything else to say that we haven't already told you guys: You are the BEST. Thanks to you, we raised $1,275,170.00 for Heifer International during this year's fundraiser. There was a lot of happy dancing around the office! So one more time, because we never get sick of saying it--thank you all so much for donating to Worldbuilders. Happy dances all around!

    Computer Business

Last week, Amanda was having some issues--she had a Skype call with Pat, and Skype wasn't updating. It wouldn't open until it updated, but her computer was being a punk and things were just not working. Usually the call of "Jeeeeffffffff!" would ring out, but he was busy, so Amanda got Brett instead.
